Remembrance Day schedule changes, closures

The City of Selkirk municipal buildings will be closed for Remembrance Day Nov. 11.

The regular meeting of Council scheduled for Nov. 11 has been rescheduled to Nov. 12.

The Civic Office will reopen to the public at 10 a.m. Nov. 12

There will be no garbage pickup on Remembrance Day. Monday’s route will be completed on Nov. 12. Tuesday’s recycling route will be completed on Tuesday by a separate truck. The Waste Transfer Station will be closed. 

The Walk, Jog, & Roll and After-School programs are not running on Nov. 11.

The Selkirk Legion is hosting a Remembrance Day Service on Nov. 11 at the Selkirk Recreation Complex (180 Easton Dr.) at 10:30 a.m. with doors opening at 10 a.m.

Selkirk Transit will be operating for free from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Remembrance Day, and will be adding a stop at the Rec Complex for those who wish to attend the Remembrance Day service. Once the service has concluded, Selkirk Transit will do one last loop of the route to ensure everyone gets home safely.
